Indiana Pacers vs Detroit Pistons Preview, Predictions, and Odds | March 20, 2024

Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers (38-31) head to Detroit tonight to face the Pistons (12-56). The Pacers are coming off a 108-103 loss against the Cavaliers, while the Pistons are coming off a 119-94 loss against the Celtics. The Last time the two teams met back in February, the Pacers won 129-115.

Also, Detroit has been facing many struggles this season and can’t seem to find a groove that lasts. On the other hand, the Pacers have stayed relatively steady. While Detroit has no chance of touching the playoffs, Indiana sits in 7th in the play-in, which could lead to a playoff run if they make it through the tournament.

Key Stats

The last stretch for the Indiana Pacers has been up and down. Every time they win a gam, it seems they lose one or two of their next ones. Pascal Siakam has been their steadiest player, with 21.5 points per game. His minutes have been huge as All-Star Tyrese Haliburton has been struggling at the three-point line. Siakam is coming off a 19-point night in the team’s loss against the Cavaliers, while Haliburton had 14 points. People can also look for Myles Turner to have a solid showing as he averages 17.2 per game.

It is safe to say the Detroit Pistons season hasn’t been pretty. However, they do have some players giving them solid stats that will hopefully continue in the future. Cade Cunningham is leading in points per game with 22.2. He did not play in their last game against the Boston Celtics, but he is currently not listed on the injury report. You can expect him to have a solid showing. Another player to watch is Jaden Ivey, who is averaging 15.3 per game and is coming off of a 21-point game against the Celtics.

Game Prediction

Though the Pacers have had some struggles, it is nothing close to what’s been going on with the Pistons. Expect Detroit to put up a fight, but with how fast and tricky this Pacers team is, it’s going to be tough. With big man Isaiah Stewart out, Pascal Siakam should easily be able to score in the paint. This will most likely end with a solid Pacers win.

Final Pick

Indiana Pacers: -9 and Over 235
