After Witt Jr., the odds jump drastically. The oddsmakers have this as a six-horse race this season. We saw an increase in stolen bases last season, thanks to the league increasing the base sizes. This race will be fun to watch, as every game could feature multiple stolen bases.

The top three in the MLB stolen base leader odds make sense. They were in the top three in stolen bases last year. Acuna Jr. had 73, followed by Ruiz with 67. Carroll was third with 54. The oddsmakers think 2024 will be the same as 2023. Abrams and Witt Jr. rounded out the top five from 2023 and are good bets to rack up the stolen bases in 2024.

Only one player outside the top five has good odds: Cincinnati Reds star Elly De La Cruz. He wasn’t among the league leaders because he didn’t play a full season. However, he had a huge season in his limited playing time, and he is my favorite bet for 2024.

MLB Stolen Base Leader Odds: Elly De La Cruz

At +900, the value is there for De La Cruz. He only appeared in 98 games and still ranked ninth in the league with 35 stolen bases. He was in the top ten in 50 games, less than all leaders. De La Cruz was the fastest player in MLB history to hit ten home runs and steal 20 bases.

His highlight plays have gone viral when he every base in three pitches. He is an electric talent, and with a full season, I would like him to be amongst the leaders in 2024.

That is your first look at the MLB stolen base leaders odds. It is one of many fun futures to bet on ahead of the 2024 baseball season.
